Dining with your Mariner Access Card (MAC)
The Mariner Access Card is associated with the appropriate campus meal plan for each customer. There are three appropriate accounts on the Mariner Access Card that can be used for on-campus dining:
- Meal Plan
- Dining Dollars
- Coastal Cash
Please advise the cashier at each location which method you want to use to pay! You can swipe the MAC in these campus dining locations:
Mariners Galley (Brunswick Campus)
Meal Plan Transactions
If you have a Residential Student, Commuter Student, or Faculty/Staff meal plan, your MAC card will be swiped as you enter the dining facility, and one all-you-care-to-eat meal will be deducted from your plan. It's as simple as that! You can always keep an eye on your remaining meals by using the eAccounts site.
Dining Dollars Transactions
Dining Dollars are included in select meal plans and can be used at any of the Campus Dining Facilities! The MAC card will be swiped when you enter the dining facility, and the price of the meal being served will be deducted from your Dining Dollars account.

Meal Plans are not accepted at Dockside Deli locations.
Students can make purchases at any campus dining location in either Brunswick or Camden locations using their Dining Dollars meal plan. After you select items for purchase, the cashier will swipe your card and deduct the total dollar amount of your purchase from your Dining Dollars meal plan. Purchases made at the Dockside Deli using Dining Dollars are tax-free.
If the funds in your Dining Dollars meal plan are insufficient to cover your purchase total, the remaining funds may be withdrawn from your Coastal Cash account. If you have insufficient funds in your Coastal Cash account, you will be asked to pay the remaining balance out-of-pocket.
After you select items for purchase, the cashier will swipe your MAC card and deduct the total dollar amount of your purchase plus the amount of sales tax from your Coastal Cash account. If the funds in your Coastal Cash account are insufficient to cover your purchase total, you will be asked to pay the remaining balance out-of-pocket.
