CAEP and Why It Matters

The following measures are those specified by CAEP for annual reporting. Impact measures include our graduates’ impact on student learning and development, our graduates’ effectiveness in teaching, the satisfaction of employers with our graduates’ performance, and the satisfaction of our graduates with their preparation. Outcome measures include graduation rates, the ability of our graduates to meet licensing requirements, the ability of our graduates to be hired in the field in which they have been prepared, and student loan default rates.
Following is the list of CAEP measures with links to supporting evidence and data tables for each measure:
Measure One: Impact on P-12 learning and development
Measure Two: Indicators of teaching effectiveness
Measure Three: Satisfaction of employers and employment milestones
Measure Four: Satisfaction of completers
Measure Five: Graduation rates
