What is the Windward Scholars Program?
The Windward Scholars program is reserved for the elite group of students who began their collegiate career as a Dual Enrollment student at the College of Coastal Georgia fall 2016 or after.
What are the benefits for being a member of the Windward Scholars Program?
Being named a Windward Scholar comes with a number of benefits:
- Automatic Acceptance into the Fall Cohort – Congratulation, you are in! No additional applications, essays, red-tape, test scores, or paperwork. Your acceptance to the Windward Scholars program not only guarantees your spot in our fall freshman class, but counts you among the elite in the cohort.
- Scholarship Opportunities – As a member of the class of the Windward Scholars, we have reserved 20 $250 scholarships to be awarded to members of this program. Students accepting admission to the Scholars program will be drawn at random, and awards will be assigned for use in the Fall semester.
- Exclusive Windward Scholar Orientation – As a Windward Scholar, we realize that what you need to know to begin your time as a full-time student is different than other freshmen. That’s why we’ve designed a special orientation program for you on Friday, August 7, 2020. We will be sending more information to you about this specially-designed session after your acceptance.
- Priority Registration Each Semester – Course selection is an important part of setting yourself up for success, and the earlier you are able to choose your classes, the better. As a member of the Windward Scholars Program, you will be giving the opportunity to select and register for your classes on the first day of registration each term being able to lock in the classes you need at the times you want.
How do I accept my invitation to the Windward Scholars Program?
Membership in the Windward Scholars Program is by invitation only. If you have received an invitation and would like to accept, please click the link below to complete your registration form.
