Policies and Procedures
The College of Coastal Georgia strives to create and nurture a strong learning and working environment that complies with the goals of the University System of Georgia and can be respected by all members of the College community. Accordingly, the College created this website for the purpose of providing a central access location and reference point for the current and official version of College policies and procedures that affect faculty, administration, staff and students.
New and revised policies will be formatted and developed consistent with the standards and guidelines set forth in the College's "Policy Development and Management Guidelines," which can be thought of as the "policy on policies." As a central repository for existing, new and revised policies, this site serves to standardize policy format; eliminate redundancies; improve organization, accessibility, search and navigation; and, clarify processes for submitting new and revised policies. Further, as the College continues to reinforce its commitment to promote and foster an ethical, efficient, and dynamic learning and work environment, new or revised policies will be added from time to time.
The College reserves the right to exercise its judgment in establishing and administering policies, and retains the discretion to construe any ambiguous or disputed provisions. The College also reserves the right to modify, revoke, suspend, terminate, or change any and all policies and procedures, in whole or in part, at any time and from time to time, without notice.
The policies are organized in categories as noted in the menu below. Some policies may be listed in multiple categories. All faculty, staff and students are expected to be familiar with and abide by College policies.
All College of Coastal Georgia policies and procedures, unless expressly stated otherwise, apply to all faculty, staff, and students (high school dual enrolled students included) regardless of delivery mode or instructional site.
